G.R.A.C.E. USA partners with community activists, who have ideas about how to help their communities face the AIDS crisis, but need to learn how to realize them. I traveled in Kenya with Natasha Martin, G.R.A.C.E.'s founder and Executive Director. Over two weeks, we visited partner-organizations that taught single mothers business skills, started a school for orphans, trained home-based caregivers, and taught midwives from the Maasai tribe how to reduce the chances of infection with HIV during delivery. GRACE sponsors many other projects as well (see graceusa.org). The last four photos illustrate projects in Naivasha, Kenya that I've been involved with personally.
